Quick start

Switch it on once. Then forget it.

Hudil works through your editor's own hooks, so nobody has to remember to use it. Agents read the room before each step and write to it when they ask, plan or decide.

Step 1

Install

One command. Hudil keeps everything in git, so there's no server to run.

[INSTALL COMMAND]

Step 2

Pick your editor

Claude Code gets a pane. Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI get the same hooks and tools, so their sessions share rooms with Claude Code's.

huddle install --editor codex|cursor|gemini

[CLAUDE CODE SETUP COMMAND]

Step 3

Open the room

See what's waiting on you. The same room shows up in a pane inside Claude Code, on a local page that refreshes every 2 seconds, and in the CLI.

huddle serve

Nothing needs you. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Step 4

Answer what's waiting

When an agent asks you something, it shows up under Needs you, with one-click answers taken from the agent's options. Your answer is recorded as an authoritative decision, and every agent reads it before its next step.

Example: a question on payments/refunds from claude-code/8be31d77, with three one-click answers and a free-text answer.
payments/refundsasked by claude-code/8be31d77

Should partial refunds reverse the original fee, or keep it?

Recorded as your decision. Every agent reads it before its next step.

Step 5

Make a decision provable

Add a comment next to the code that proves it, naming the node and the test. At every commit the decision shows as verified, broken or not yet proven. People's decisions without a check are offered to agents as work.

// huddle: payments/pricing -- cargo test cents_never_float
verifiedbrokennot yet proven

Step 6

Share it with your team

Rooms sync through any git repository your team can push to. Entries are pushed as they're made and arrive at teammates in about 10 seconds. Cloning a repository never makes Hudil send anything until you choose to.

[ORIGIN SETUP COMMAND]

The CLI

For people and scripts. Everything the room shows, you can ask for in a terminal.

huddle treehuddle statushuddle loghuddle checkhuddle decidehuddle checkshuddle verifyhuddle landhuddle statshuddle serve

huddle tree prints the tree with states and hashes. huddle stats counts what Hudil did: overlaps flagged, edits held, questions answered and how fast, and blind decisions stopped. huddle stats share writes a line to post and a 1200 × 630 image card.
